BOW – Harrisburg Town & Country Lions Club
Congratulations to Harrisburg Town & Country Lions Club for being selected as the Saline County Chamber of Commerce’s Business of the Week! We are so proud to call this non-profit a part of the Chamber membership and proud of their accomplishments and impact on the Harrisburg community.
“We Serve” is so much more than just the organization’s slogan, but a way of life. With service projects that are focused on impacting the community and it’s residents their ties lie to a national Foundation, but with a strong heart for Harrisburg.
Just recently, the Harrisburg Lions Club pioneered the project of purchasing two wheelchair swings to the Harrisburg Park District, the first of it’s kind in Southern Illinois at the time.
In addition to this large undertaking, the organization also provides hearing aids and eyeglasses to those unable to afford them. Through close working relationships with the Harrisburg School District, the club purchased almost a dozen pairs of glasses for kids in the district for 2019!
The club is always looking for like-minded, community, and service-oriented individuals to join the club and help impact the Harrisburg community.
